Incoming students

Suor Orsola Benincasa University welcomes European students wishing to spend a period of study with all the rights and duties of their own students. The Erasmus Student Card is available from the Erasmus Office, and European students can make use of all the services provided by the university. For information and logistic support regarding teaching, classes and administration please contact the Erasmus Office.

The University

Enrolment. Students interested in studying at Suor Orsola Benincasa University through the Erasmus programme must send the application form exclusively through the submission of the form on the following link: https://forms.gle/WfHNQpURiPJBEpt98 once nominated by their home institution. The deadline for applications is set for the following dates: 15 July (1st term) 15 November (2nd term). The Learning agreement must be uploaded in the Application Form and sent through the OLA system (if available).
Students must also register on https://areaoperativa.unisob.na.it when submitting their application form.
Students must also bring and hand-in a passport size picture upon their arrival at the Erasmus Office.

Accomodation. Suor Orsola Benincasa University has accommodation at the University Residence in Vico Paradiso ai Sette dolori No. 49 Naples 80134. The places available - in twin bedrooms - will be assigned according to availability, taking into account, first of all, the diversity of country of origin and, secondly, the order in which the application is received. Interested students should show their interest in a place at the dorm with their their application form.

The University has also signed two agreements with the following residences:
- Collegio Universitario Villalta (women only)
- Collegio Universitario Monterone (men only)
The monthly fee for these accomodations is 450 euro.

Italian course. The university organises an intensive Italian course (60 hours) for Incoming Erasmus students at the beginning of the first and second term. An entry test will establish the current level of Italian ability. The course will end with an assessment test. Students who attend the course and pass the final test will earn 6 ECTS credits.

Courses and examinations. Upon arrival, the student should go to the Erasmus Office to register. Students should contact their tutor to have their Learning Agreement approved. The tutor will help with the choice of courses to take and any changes to the L. A.. Students can choose freely any courses from those available at the University. Information on courses, examinations, timetables, and exams is available on the university web page under LePrE (lessons, programmes, examinations). To take an exam the student must book at least five days in advance on their personal webpage.

Certificates. The Erasmus Office can authorise, upon request, the extension or reduction of the period of stay; At the end of the period, the office issues the Statement of studies and a Transcript of Records, i.e. the certification of the examinations taken by the student.

Useful information. The University spreads across a complex of buildings, close to each other, in an urban area. The Historic Venue, where the Chancellor and the administrative offices are, is located in Corso Vittorio Emanuele n. 292 - 80135. The Department of Education, Psychology and Communication (Academic staff studies and classrooms) can also be found in this building. The other two faculties are at a very short walking distance from there: Department of Humanities, Via S. Caterina da Siena n. 37 - 80135; Department of Law (Convento di S. Lucia al Monte), Corso Vittorio Emanuele n. 334 - 80135.

How to reach the University

Coming from the train stations:
Napoli Centrale/Napoli Train Station: R2 bus from Piazza Garibaldi (get off at the Galleria Umberto I bus stop and cross the gallery) + Funicolare Centrale from Piazzetta Augusteo (get off at the Corso Vittorio Emanuele stop);
Napoli Mergellina Train Station: C16 bus (get off at the Corso Vittorio Emanuele bus stop, close to Piazzetta Cariati and Funicolare Centrale).
Coming from the airport:
Capodichino Airport: Alibus towards the city centre (get off at Piazza Municipio) + Funicolare Centrale from Piazzetta Augusteo (get off at the Corso Vittorio Emanuele stop).
Coming from the port:
Molo Beverello: Funicolare Centrale from Piazzetta Augusteo (get off at the Corso Vittorio Emanuele stop).
