10th of October - European Parliament Simulation: acting like a Member of the European Parliament!

On October 10, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. CET, in the framework of the AP8 - Active8 & Particip8 project, the European Parliament Simulation will take place online, a great event that will involve students and young people from the 27 European countries in the guise of Members of the European Parliament.

This is a great educational experience that will allow participants to learn, compare and express their ideas.
- LEARN: Participants will learn about the structure of the European Parliament, one of the EU's main institutions, and delve into one of the most important topics on the European political agenda: the fight against climate change.
- COMPARE: meet online with more than 100 students and young people from across Europe.
- ELABORATE: build your own Bill with the support of your parliamentary group, like a real MEP.
- DELIBER: debate and vote on the most effective and well-implemented Bill.

The experience will take place entirely online, using ZOOM, to make it accessible for anyone. The agenda includes many stimulating activities, which will allow participants to fully immerse themselves in the simulation work, interact effectively with other students and young Europeans, and work as a team, drafting and voting on a Bill.

At a particular moment in history, when there is a widening gap between young people and politics, the AP8 project aims to promote moments of discussion, engagement and active citizenship. Through the AP8 project, participants will be able to improve their language and problem-solving skills, their ability to work in teams and make decisions as leaders. Through this experience, their knowledge in legal, social and civic education will also be deepened. Don't miss a unique and unrepeatable opportunity for growth and learning: we look forward to seeing you the 10th of October at 11.00 a.m. CET!
